Using GPS function
･
GPS service uses the function of Location provide and Notify location.
･
This service may require the subscription or may be charged to use.
･
To use Location provide and Notify location, follow the information on Internet sites of GPS service
providers or DoCoMo. Some of these functions may be charged.
･
To use GPS function, application to i-mode service may be required.
･
GPS is the service in charge of Department of Defense of USA, therefore, GPS radio wave condition
may be controlled (accuracy degradation or radio wave abort, etc.) for the US national security reason.
･
Note that GPS is using the radio wave from satellites, and following conditions may cause the radio wave
abort or difficulty to receive.
In these cases, the error of retrieved location information may be more than 300 m.
･
Unable to use GPS function of FOMA terminals out of service area except Position location function.
･
Operation of Notify location out of service area may take more time or differ from within service area.
･
24 GPS satellites are on the satellite orbits at the altitude of approximately 20,000 km, and each satellite
orbits around the earth in 12 hours. Therefore, note that radio wave condition to retrieve differs
depending on the date even in the same environment, and retrieved location information may have
significant errors or positioning may not be executed.
･
Unable to activate GPS function under All lock mode/Self mode/PIM lock (GPS) mode and if PIN lock is
all locked. However, Location provide is available to operate under All lock or PIM lock mode.
･
Positioning may be failed while dialing/receiving phone calls or receiving mails.
･
Note that DoCoMo does not take any responsibility for the user's disadvantage if you cannot confirm the
positioning (communication) result with failure/repair or other handlings.
･
FOMA terminals cannot be used as navigation system for professional use of aircrafts, vehicles, person,
etc. Therefore, note that DoCoMo does not take any responsibility for the trouble caused by the
navigation system to use Location information.
･
FOMA terminals cannot be used as surveying GPS of high accuracy. Therefore, note that DoCoMo does
not take any responsibility for the loss caused by the error of location information.
･
GPS function of FOMA terminals cannot be used outside of Japan.
･
Positioning (Positioning location/Location provide/Notify location/Periodic notify) is not operated under
the following conditions:

- When covering Screen/Keypad/Microphone/Speaker of mobile phones with hands
