Security codes for FOMA terminal
Security codes for FOMA terminal
Security code is required to use some of the convenient functions in FOMA terminal. There are
several types of security code, such as the terminal security code for using some terminal
functions, the Network security code for network services, and i-mode password etc. Use these
codes properly for each usage, to make the most of FOMA terminal.
Terminal security code
Default terminal security code is set to "0000". Change the code to a number you like. Under Kids' mode,
the code is recommended to be used as the security code for parents, since it is valid for setting change in
security functions etc.

Note that, if you forget the terminal security code, contact DoCoMo shop with your FOMA terminal

currently used UIM (FOMA card) and an ID to identify the subscriber (ex. driver’s license).

If the mobile phone terminal has not been purchased by the subscriber, sales outlets may not accept your
request.
Password(number)
Password(number) is the security code to be used under Kids' mode. Password(number) is recommended
to be used as the security code for kids, since it is invalid for setting change in security functions etc. Default
Password(number) is set to "1111". Change the code to the numbers you like. If you forget your
Password(number), it can be reset by entering the terminal security code in Change Password(number).

Network security code
The network security code, 4-digit, is required when using
ドコモ e サイト
(DoCoMo e-site) for various
applications or using other network services. The code you set when subscribing FOMA terminal can be
changed by yourself. Users who have "My DoCoMo ID/Password" of "My DoCoMo", the general support
site for PCs, can make inquiries to change the network security code from PCs.From i-mode, you can
change the code on " 各種手続き (Various applications)" in " ドコモ
e
サイト (DoCoMo e-site)" by yourself.

Notes on using security codes

When setting security codes, avoid using numbers such as "birthday", "a part of phone number",
"house number or room number", "1111", "1234", since those numbers are easily guessed by others.
Be sure to keep a separate note of the set security codes.

Note that never to reveal security codes to others. DoCoMo assumes no responsibility for the loss that
others causes by abusing your security codes.

DoCoMo will never contact you to ask your security codes.

If you forget your security codes, contact DoCoMo shop with your official identifications (driver's
license, etc.), FOMA terminal and UIM (FOMA card).
