Setting Up the Printer
Mac OS X
1. Open the
Applications
folder.
2. Open the
Utilities
folder.
3. Open
Print Center
(for Mac OS X 10.2 or below) or
Printer Setup Utility
(for Mac OS
X 10.3 or later), and then click
Add
.
4. For Mac OS X 10.4, select the printer model that is connected with Bonjour.
For Mac OS X 10.2 or 10.3, select
Rendezvous
from the drop down list, and then
select the printer model from the list.
Note:
For Mac OS X 10.4, if your printer is not displayed with the desired connection, click
More
Printers
, select the desired connection from the drop down list, and then select the printer
model.
5. Click
Add
.
Now you can use the printer on the TCP/IP network.
Note:
If your product supports the scanning function, see the product’s User’s Guide to make the settings.
Mac OS 9
1. Open
Chooser
from the Apple menu.
2. Click the printer icon.
3. Select the zone containing the printer.
4. Select the printer name from the list.
5. Make sure
AppleTalk
is active.
6. Close
Chooser
.
Now you can use the printer on the TCP/IP network.
