FE260 SIM card insertion and unlock
The SIM card must only be inserted and if applicable unlocked in FE260 GSM/GPRS versions. For other
versions (Analog modem, Ethernet, ISDN) this Chapter can be skipped.
SIM card installation varies according to the GSM/GPRS module used in the FE260:
From around mid-2014: "ECM-GW-120" (see chapter 7.3.2.1)
Older versions: Integra "M2106+" or "M2106B" (see chapter 7.3.2.2)
7.3.2.1 SIM in the GSM/GPRS-module "ECM-GW120" (from mid-2014)
a) SIM card insertion
Danger!
Ensure the mains voltage is disconnected before opening the FE260 housing, ensure it
is not turned back on and verify that there is no voltage.
Remove the four screws from the top of the FE260 and open it.
To unlock the SIM card holder slide the metal
strap to the right and open flap.
Slide SIM into the flap of the
SIM card holder.
Close flap again and lock (slide metal strap under slight pressure to the left).
The chamfered edge of the SIM must now be located at bottom left as shown.
Screw the FE260 housing back on.
b) If necessary, unlock the SIM card (enter the PIN)
If the inserted SIM card's PIN ("Personal Identification Number") is activated, carry out the following instructions
to unlock it:
Move the cursor to the "
Serv.
" tab in the EK280's display, then to
Interfaces > Terminal interface
> GSM & GPRS > PIN
Press the
ENTER
key and enter the first PIN digit using the
and
arrow keys.

The PIN must be entered right-aligned in the EK280!
Move the cursor through the next digits using the
key and enter them.
After entering the last digit press the
ENTER
key, to save the input.
Under "
P.Sta
" the "
Pin New
" is now ready for confirmation.
If "
P.Sta
" is not displayed, move the cursor down using the
arrow keys.
As soon as a communications time window is opened via the modem, the new PIN is used. After a
few seconds, under "
P.Sta
" the message "
Pin OK
" is displayed if the correct PIN was entered, or the
message "
Pin Error
" if the PIN was incorrectly entered.

After installation, the chamfered edge of the
