Remove the communication link between the PC / laptop and the Modem again.
Disconnect the parameterizing cable from the modem assembly.
Refit the "mode" jumper on the FE260 modem board in the "operation" position.
7.3.6.6 EK280 data transfer activation
Set up a communication link via the optical interface between enSuite and the EK280 (see chapter
3.1 "Setting up the communication link to the EK280 via optical interface", page 15) again.
Select "
Navigation
" on the left-hand side and then "
Parameterize online
" at the bottom of the
navigation window.
In the top of the device window open the path "
Parameters
" > "
Interfaces
" by clicking on the relevant
plus signs, and then select "
Call time windows
".
For call window 5 set the start to "00:00" and the end to "23:59" and then select the "Transfer
changes to device" icon at the top of the enSuite window.
Wait for around a minute for the EK280 to detect the FE260.
7.3.6.7 Checking GSM field strength
Move the cursor to the "
Serv.
" tab in the EK280's display, then to
Interfaces > Terminal interface
> Hardware Config. > MdxS2
Press the
ENTER
key and using the keypad
set the value to "
GSM Wavecom
".
Press the
ENTER
key to save the input.
Move the cursor to the "
Serv.
" tab in the EK280's display, then to
Interfaces > Terminal interface
> GSM & GPRS > GSM.L
Wait a few seconds until the field strength percentage is displayed under
GSM.L
.

With a field strength below 50% data transfer issues may be encountered. Adjusting the antenna
position can improve field strength in most cases.
Move the cursor to the "
Serv.
" tab in the EK280's display, then to
Interfaces > Terminal interface.
> Hardware Config. > MdxS2
Press the
ENTER
key and using the keypad
set the value to "
transparent
".
Press the
ENTER
key to save the input.
7.3.6.8 Monitoring data transfer to the FTP server
Now you can check the data transfer to the FTP server using a suitable FTP client (i.e. "Filezilla"). Data should
now be automatically transferred at the intervals programmed in the ComFTP from the volume conversion
device to the server.
