This interface card is used as an interface with your Ethernet LAN. 

 

Initial conditions: 

 

The FE260 is connected as described in Chapter 7.3.1. It is connected but it must not be live. 

 

The Ethernet modem may be used for Modbus communication, for example (see Section 8.1).

There are separate instructions [9] for commissioning an EF260 which are supplied with every 
FE260!  

 

7.3.8.1  Parameterization of the EK280 for operation with an FE260/Ethernet

For parameterization of the EK280 you will require a connection cable for the optical interface as 
well as the enSuite application, which can be downloaded for free at www.elster-instromet.com.

Closing the time windows 

In  order  that  the  parameterization  works  correctly  the  time  windows  5  and  6  must  be  closed.  Proceed  as 
described in Section 7.2.2.1 on page 69 . 

b) 

Send parameter file 

 

Send the following parameter file to the EK280 (see Chapter 3.6, page 17):
