SEFELEC1500M Instructions
126
V1.06
13.1. SYNTAX RULES
A command intended for the device preferably ends with the character:
LF
(hexadecimal
0A
, decimal
10
).
Codes can be sent in upper or lower case. The maximum number of commands in the
same block cannot exceed 15 instructions.
Be careful not to associate standard com-
mands or requests with other types of commands.
The events that occur during the measurement can be reported to the computer through
emitting a SRQ (format error, end of test, open safety circuit, etc.). To activate this func-
tion, the code
SRQ
must be sent after the device has initialised. When such an event oc-
curs, the internal registers of the I
EEE controller (STB,SRE…) must be checked in order to
obtain more precision on the reasons for the event.
In the case of incorrect syntax the message
DIALOGUE ERROR: 1
is displayed. In the
case of a code that is out of context the message
DIALOGUE ERROR: 2
is displayed
(specific code for a function when we are not in this function, or numerical value out of
bounds).
13.2. SUPPORTED IEEE-488-1 FUNCTIONS
SH1,AH1,T6,L4,SR1,RL1,PP0,DC1,DT0,C0
13.3. LIST OF IEEE488 COMMANDS
The syntax of the commands sent over the
IEEE-488
connection was made compliant with
the
IEEE488-2
standard (1992 revision).
Reminder of the numerical formats according to standard
IEEE488-2
:
Format
NR1: +/-<digit>...<digit>
Format
NR2: +/-<digit>...<digit>.<digit>...<digit>
Format
NR3: +/-<digit>...<digit>.<digit>...<digit>E+/-<digit>...<digit>
NOTE: The code in parentheses are the expanded codes that can be interpreted by the
device.
The command set of the
IEEE488
option is the same as that for the
RS232
interface. It is
described in detail in the paragraph
RS-232C Interface.
