14.5.1.
DHCP (DYNAMIC HOST CONFIGURATION PROTOCOL)
Recall:
DHCP
designates a network protocol of which the role is to ensure automatic
configuration of the
TCP/IP
parameters of a station, in particular by automatically as-
signing it an IP address and a network mask.
Select
ON
to activate this mode. After this option is activated the device displays a new IP
address and a network mask that you cannot modify without deactivating
DHCP
mode be-
forehand.
Select
OFF
to deactivate the
DHCP
mode in order to manually choose the IP address and
the network mask.
14.5.2.
IP ADDRESS
Recall: In order to be able to manually enter an IP address,
DHCP = OFF
.
Select the
IP ADDRESS
line and confirm, wait a few moments.
14.5.3.
NETW ORK MASK
Recall: In order to be able to manually enter an IP address,
DHCP = OFF
.
Select the
NETWORK MASK
line and confirm.
Enter your network mask, confirm and wait a few moments.
14.5.4.
COMMUNICATION PORT AND PROTOCOL
Our interface works according to the
TCP/IP
protocol.
The control device (Supervision software) must use port
TCP no. 2001
14.5.5.
SYNTAX RULES
A command intended for the device preferably ends with the character: LF (hexadecimal
0A, decimal 10).
Codes can be sent in upper or lower case. The maximum number of commands in the
same block cannot exceed 15 instructions.
Be careful not to associate standard com-
mands or requests with other types of commands.
The events that occur during the measurement can be reported to the computer through
emitting a SRQ (format error, end of test, open safety circuit, etc.). To activate this func-
tion, the code
SRQ
must be sent after the device has initialised. When such an event oc-
curs, the internal registers of the IEEE controller
(STB,SRE…) must be checked in order to
obtain more precision on the reasons for the event.
In the case of incorrect syntax the message
DIALOGUE ERROR: 1
is displayed. In the
case of a code that is out of context the message
DIALOGUE ERROR: 2
is displayed
(specific code for a function when we are not in this function, or numerical value out of
bounds).
