Scanning the image plate.

Place the light protection cover with the image
plate centrally and straight into the plate
guide
i
The opened side of the light protection cover
faces down; the inactive (back) side of the im-
age plate faces the operator
i
The image plate must not be pulled out of the
light protection cover before replacement on
the input unit There is the risk of image infor-
mation being erased by ambient light (see “10
Correct use of image plates and light protec-
tion covers”)
i
Slide the image plate out of the light protection
cover downwards into the unit Press the plate
all the way down until the transport mechanism
takes over and moves the plate on its own
i
Remove the empty light protection cover
i
The image data is automatically transmitted to
the imaging software Scanning progress is
displayed on the touch screen
After it has been scanned, the image plate is
erased and drops into the collection tray
i
Save the X-ray image
i
Remove the image plate and prepare to take
a new X-ray

Starting the image plate scanner
When scanning the image data via the touch
screen, there is no need for a PC connection
The image data is stored locally on the memory
card In order to transfer the image data to the
imaging software, the unit must be connected
to a computer
Scanning via the touch screen can be done in
two ways:
Scanning
:
Before scanning the image data, the
patient data and exposure settings of
the image are entered and then saved
with the image data
If no patient data and exposure set-
tings of the image are entered then the
image is saved to a folder with date
and time
Rapid scanning
:
The image data is saved to a folder
with the date and time and no addi-
tional information
