1 About this document
This Installation and Operating Instructions manu-
al provides the information necessary for the set-
up, operation and routine care and maintenance of
the VistaScan Ultra View Image Plate Scanner The
manual forms an integral part of the device and
conforms to the relevant version of the equipment
and the technical standards valid at the time of
installation This manual, along with the quick start
guide, should be thoroughly reviewed by dental
professionals prior to scanning and processing
digital images exposed on imaging plates No re-
training is necessary in the dental clinic unless
there is new personnel The English version of this
manual is the original manual, which is used to
translate all other languages These Instructions
are valid for VistaScan Ultra View, part number
2170100500 The term light protection cover and
image plate is, for reasons of simplified readability,
used as a collective term for parts listed in section
32, 33 and 34
If the instructions and information in this
document are not followed, Dürr Dental
