Using Bluetooth
<Bluetooth>
Connect Bluetooth devices wirelessly. For example,
when Bluetooth Wireless Unit N01 (optional) is
connected to the FOMA terminal via Bluetooth
connection, you can make calls or listen to music
even if the FOMA terminal is in a bag, etc.

Note that a Bluetooth connection uses much
battery power.
z
A wireless connection to a Bluetooth device may
not always be established.
z
You cannot use the Bluetooth function in Self
mode.
Operations that can be performed via
Bluetooth
3 services are available on the FOMA terminal:
Headset service, Handsfree service and Audio
service. Audio/Video remote control service may also
be available for Audio service (compatible Bluetooth
device only).
*1: It is confirmed that the FOMA terminal and all
Bluetooth devices are compliant with Bluetooth
standards designated by Bluetooth SIG, and they are
authenticated. However, the procedure may differ or
data transfer may not be possible depending on the
device’s characteristics or specifications.
*2: Bluetooth device connection procedure standardized
according to the product’s characteristics.

Talking via headset (Headset service)
You can talk wirelessly by connecting Bluetooth
Wireless Unit N01 (optional) or Bluetooth Headset
(commercially available) to the FOMA terminal via
Bluetooth connection.
■
Talking handsfree (Handsfree service)
You can talk handsfree using microphone/speaker
such as car navigation by connecting a Bluetooth
device (commercially available) such as car
navigation to the FOMA terminal via Bluetooth
connection.
■
Playing with an audio device (Audio service)
You can play high quality stereo sounds wirelessly by
connecting Wireless Earphone Set P01/02 (optional)
or Bluetooth audio device (commercially available) to
the FOMA terminal via Bluetooth connection.

Compatible devices are restricted as for 1Seg or
video sounds.

Sounds that come from a Bluetooth device

The following may not apply depending on the
Bluetooth device:

: Comes from a Bluetooth device.

: Does not come from a Bluetooth device but from the
FOMA terminal.
*1: When “Headset usage setting” is set to
“speaker”, sounds come both from a
Bluetooth device and from the FOMA terminal.
*2: When “Forward ring tone” is set to “OFF”, a different
ring tone from one set by the Blue tooth device
sounds.
*3: Sounds come from a Bluetooth device only during a
call. The clock alarm tone, instead of a tone set as an
alarm tone, comes from the Bluetooth device.
