Mail
● When you receive the Area Mail other than
the earthquake early warning
When you receive the Area Mail, you are notified on
the “Receive Area Mail” or the “Description Screen”,
then notifies them with a beep for the Area Mail (the
screen is specified by the provider).
The “Receive Area Mail” screen returns to the
previous screen, if no operation is performed or you
press any key. The description screen returns to the
previous screen, when you press any key

The volume of the ring tone is set to the same
volume set at “Mail” of “Ring volume”.
Setting Early Warning “Area
Mail”
<Area Mail setting>
Make the settings for receiving Area Mail.

Mail Setting screen (P.164) “Area
Mail setting” Select any item:
Receive setting …… Sets whether to receive the
Area Mail.
• The confirmation message asking whether to
use Area Mail appears before setting, read the
given notes carefully and select “YES”/“NO”.
Receive entry …… Register the name of Area
Mail other than the urgent news flash that you
want to receive and Message ID. Select “<Not
recorded>” at the Receive entry screen and
enter your security code. The urgent news flash
is sent regardless of the settings of Receive
entry.
Area Mail name …… Enter any name.
Message ID …… Enter Message ID
specified by the service provider.
Beep time …… Sets the beep time between 01
and 30 seconds.
Sending and Receiving Chat
Mail
<Send/Receive chat mail>
You can exchange mail with several people just as if
you were having a normal conversation.

You cannot launch Chat mail in the following cases:
• When “ON” is selected in “Receive option
setting”
• Inbox is full of unread or protected mail
• When 2in1 is in B mode
• While Original lock is set for “Sending mail” or
“Disp. recv. mail/msg.”

The communication fee for sending chat mail to
several people is the same as sending a mail with
multiple recipients.

Members of the last chat are
set for the chat member.

when you start chat with
members different from the
