Vacuum system
5.4.1
Purge the vacuum system.
To ensure that the suction system is always ready for operation, a large
glass of clear, cold water should be aspirated at regular intervals.
The suction system must be cleaned at regular intervals.
5.4.2
Purging the suction hoses
To remove residue from the suction hoses, they must be purged several
times a day.
To clean the suction hoses, a large glass of clear, cold water must be
aspirated.
1.
Remove the suction cannulas from the suction hoses.
2.
Set maximum suction flow on the suction handpiece to be cleaned.
3.
All other suction hoses must be completely closed.
4.
Aspirate a large glass of clear, cold water with the suction
handpiece to be cleaned.
NOTE
The hoses of the spray aspirator and saliva ejector and the
connecting hose to the supply module can be removed for purging
with running water.
