Switching Endo function on/off
Switching on the Endo function
The Endo function is assigned to the bur drive removed from the holder.

The desired electric motor for the Endo function is removed from
the holder.
ü
The motor speed is displayed on the SIM display of the dentist
element.
Purge
➢ Press the
Endo / Purge key.

If the Endo function is switched on, the
Endo function status
display lights up.
Ä
The preset torque of 1.00 Ncm (Newton centimeters) is
displayed on the SIM display of the dentist unit.
Switching off the Endo function
If the Endo function is switched on, when the bur drive assigned to the
Endo function is removed, the torque or the speed of the contra-angle
handpiece instead of the motor is displayed on the SIM display of the
dentist element. To show the speed of the motor again when the bur
drive is removed, the Endo function must first be switched off.
Purge
➢ Press the
Endo / Purge key briefly (< 1 s).

The
Endo status display turns off. When the bur drive is taken
from the holder, the speed of the motor is shown on the dentist
element SIM display.
4.4.8.2
Calibrating the burr drive
Calibration is required when the integrated torque control is started,
every time the contra-angle handpiece is changed, and every time the
contra-angle handpiece is lubricated. Recalibration is not necessary
when a file is changed.

An uncalibrated bur instrument is marked on the SIM display of the
dentist element with an "n". The bar above it indicates that the
AutoReverse function is switched on, see "Switching the AutoReverse
function on/off". If the auto-reverse function is switched on, the burr
drive automatically switches to counterclockwise rotation when the
torque set is reached.
The contra-angle handpiece is automatically checked during calibration.
This includes a measurement of motor current at different speeds to
assess the properties of the system.

To ensure proper calibration, use only Dentsply Sirona instruments.
