Count all colonies found on the surface of the tester.
If the bacterial count is well over 100, the water must be treated,
see"Biofilm removal by the service technician and sanitization".
5.1.3.1
Biofilm removal by the service technician
If the microbiological test of the water from the simulation unit does not
meet hygiene requirements despite regular cleaning of the water lines,
biofilm removal with special chemical is necessary. Biofilm removal
should be conducted if the bacteria count is considerably higher than
100 colony forming units per milliliter. Biofilm removal may be
conducted only by a specially trained service technician. However,
before ordering biofilm removal, ensure that the cause of the high
bacteria count is not from incoming water. Please contact your dental
depot. Before initiating biofilm removal it must be ensured that the
reason for the raised bacterial count is not due to inflowing water.

General handling instructions
The general reprocessing instructions apply to the simulation unit if
there are no other product-specific reprocessing instructions in these
operating instructions. The manufacturer’s instructions related to
disinfectants must be observed (temperature, concentration, exposure
times, etc.).
Manual cleaning
The equipment can be cleaned manually using a cloth or soft brush.
Unless specified otherwise, use drinking water that is warm to the touch
to clean surface contamination.
Mechanical cleaning
Thermal disinfection at up to 93°C (200°F) according to ISO 15883-1 is
possible for all marked components. Use an alkaline cleaning agent. A
laboratory dishwasher (e.g. Miele G7781) can be used. See the
operating instructions for the respective device for the setting of the
cleaning equipment and the kind and quantity of cleaning agent.
Manual disinfection
The simulation unit can be wipe disinfected. Use a soft colorless cloth
and approved disinfectant for disinfection. Unless otherwise stated in
the operating instructions, other disinfection procedures should not be
applied (spray disinfection, immersion bath, etc.). When using
disinfectants please follow the information in their usage instructions
(temperature, concentration, exposure times, etc.).
