Command Size Description
FORMAT 35056 Initializes a disk so ROM-DOS can access the
files on that disk.
FXCHK 13990 Checks all flash disk space, stress tests each spare
unit, and displays the status of all units.
Syntax: FXCHK < drive >, where drive is the
drive letter for the unit to be checked.
FXFMT 18928 Formats flash drive (drive C:) on Apex PDT.
Syntax: FXFMT < drive > [/V], where:
drive = drive C:
/V = Volume Label
Example: Formats flash disk C: and labels the
drive as Compsee.
fxfmt C: /VCompsee
FXINFO 15254 Reports detailed low level flash information,
format characteristics, and flash array usage
information. Run in the same manner as the
CHKDSK utility.
FXRECLM 11830 Used to recover discarded flash disk space by
forcing a garbage collection. Can be run as a low-
priority background task to maintain higher than
normal flash array performance.
Syntax: fxreclm <drive> [<count>], where
count
is the number of successive garbage collection
operations.
GOTO Batch file command. Moves control to a specified
line within the batch file.
HELP Lists all available ROM-DOS commands along
with a brief description.
HIMEM 5833 Extended and high memory manager for 286, 386,
and PS/2 systems.
IF Batch file command. Performs a command based
on a specified condition.
INCLUDE Allows instructions on one configuration block to
be used in another configuration block.
INSTALL Loads Terminate and Stay Resident (TSR)
programs from within the
[config.sys] file
KEYB 6417 Allows keyboard layout altering for a different
language or nationality.
KEYBOARD/
KEYBRD2.SYS Keyboard code page data files for use with the
International keyboard driver
[keyb.com].
LABEL 8998 Creates, changes, or deletes a disk volume label.
LASTDRIVE Specifies the letter used and the maximum
number of drives.
