Command Line Functions
Note: For a detailed description of the ROM-DOS commands
and their syntax and parameters, refer to the ROM-DOS
User’s Guide included on the Compsee Product Support
CD which came with the unit.
The command line is the area to the right of the DOS prompt
(
C:\>
). These commands must be loaded either during system
boot in the [config.sys] or [autoexec.bat] files (as indicated) or
from the command line. ROM-DOS commands are listed below:

[config.sys] command. Directs ROM-DOS to
pause for confirmation before processing a
command
@ Used to suppress the display of a single batch
file command line.
; Identifies non-executing lines. Same as the
REM command.
ANSI.SYS 3434 A console device driver that allows you to
support ANSI codes on the local screen.
ATA.SYS 9966 A PCMCIA ATA disk device driver.
ATTRIB 11300 Displays or modifies the attributes associated
with a file.
BACKUP 21544 Backup a single directory tree to a floppy disk,
hard drive, or network drive.
BREAK Turns ON or OFF the ability to stop program
execution at a non-I/O point.
BUFFERS
Used in the [config.sys] file. Sets the number
of internal data buffers.
CALL Batch file command. Invokes execution of a
secondary batch file.
CHDIR (or CD) Changes the current directory. Same as CD.
CHKDSK 18624 Checks the integrity of the data on a disk and
displays information pertaining to the same.
CHOICE 2582 Allows a user to make a processing choice
during the execution of a batch file.
