Function 55h, Service 03h –
Get Infrared Port Stat
e
Input:
ah = 55h
al = 03h
Returns:
Carry Flag clear if successful
ax = current setting (0 = RS-232, 1 = IR)
Carry Flag set on error
Notes:
This function retrieves the current setting of the Apex PDT
serial port. A zero (0) indicates the infrared port is
disabled (RS-232 port enabled), whereas a one (1)
indicates the infrared port is enabled (RS-232 port
disabled) for serial transmission.
Function 55h, Service 04h –
Enable Infrared Port
Input:
ah = 55h
al = 04h
bx = infrared port state (0 = disable, 1 = enable)
Returns:
Carry Flag clear if successful
ax = current setting (after change)
Carry Flag set on error
Notes:
This function is used to select the active Apex PDT serial
port. A zero (0) disables the infrared port (enables RS-232
port), whereas a one (1) enables the infrared port (disables
the RS-232) for serial transmission. Only one serial device
may be enabled at a time.
Function 55h, Service 05h –
Get Backlight State
Input:
ah = 55h
al = 05h
Returns:
Carry Flag clear if successful
ax = current setting (0 = off, 1 = on)
Carry Flag set on error
Notes:
This function retrieves the current state of the Apex PDT
Backlight.
