Multiple Effects
17-14
3XVK
Push1
executes in a similar manner to
Push
. As
Push1
executes, the new image “pushes” the old image off the
screen. Both images move. In addition, an image, text or
no image can be displayed in the Background buffer of
an Extended Effects Frame Buffer (EEFB). Additionally,
the Output Percentages of the Foreground and Back-
ground buffers can each be set to any value from
0
to
100
. This allows you to execute the Read Effect at an
Output Percentages lower than
100
. This is the same
function as
FG Effect
(Foreground Effect) in Read
Effects (§15.8.7), although it is not necessary to activate
FG Effect
when working in Multiple Effects.
Transition Patterns
A
and
B
are available to
Push1
.
Rev
and
Ease
can be set for this Effect Type. The minimum
Speed
allowable for
Push1
is
20
fields.
You must first read the static image into the Background
buffer of the selected Extended Effects Frame Buffer
before executing Multiple Effects. It does not read in
Multiple Effects execution if its ID number is entered in
the
Mesg
field. You can, however, enter the ID number
of the message that you want to Push over the back-
ground image.
The
DO
Key (§17.10.5) cannot be used to instanta-
neously execute Multiple Effects when
Push1
is used.
Instead, program the execution into a Function Key
instead (§17.10.4).
Because
Push1
is a frame buffer effect, the Background
buffer can cover up other buffers or a Transform, depend-
ing on which buffer
Push1
is assigned to, and whether
Pri:
in the Transform window is set to
Frame Pri
or
Xform Pri
