Utility (Section 18) while keeping Message
Compose active.
The system software is extremely versatile, so don’t be
afraid to go off on tangents and explore. If you get stuck,
remember that the
CNTL
key, either by itself or followed
by Q to quit, typically gets you out of menus. You can
also try pressing the
ESC
key.
To completely exit a program:
• Press MODE SLCT E or MODE SLCT twice (§5.2,
§6.11). This exits to the Program Loader menu.

You can exit from Message Compose and load a different
program without losing any of the settings you estab-
lished in Message Compose.
There are many instances where Multi-Tasking is handy.
For example, you could check disk status before record-
ing a page by suspending Message Compose and loading
Disk Utilities.
To activate multi-tasking:
• Press
MODE SLCT
while in Message Compose to
display the Exit Mode menu:

Exit
Leaves Message Compose and exits to the Program
