Trouble s hooting
Network Functions
Along with this list, refer also to the instruction manuals of the access point or other external devices you are
using.
The following s etting s were changed.
- The s etting s di s played on the s creen were changed automatically due to a change in one of the [Recording/Media
S etup] s etting s . Chec k the s etting s before you continue recording.
- LUT option s that were s et to [PQ : BT.2020] or [HL G : BT.2020] will be re s et to [Off] automatically when you activate
s low motion recording.
The memory card i s not compatible with the current recording s etting s .
- The video configuration s etting s are s et to record XF-HEVC clip s with a re s olution of 3840x2160 but the card s elected
for recording doe s not have a UH S S peed Cla ss rating of U3. Replace the card with one rated UH S S peed Cla ss U3 or

- Di s connect the U S B cable. Try u s ing a card reader or decrea s e the number of photo s on the card to fewer than 2,500
(Window s ) or 1,000 (macO S ) and then re s tore the connection.
Unable to recover data
- Could not recover the s elected clip. S ave your clip s (

- The camcorder may not be able to recover clip s when there i s not enough s pace on the card. Delete s ome clip s

- Thi s me ss age appear s on the s creen of the connected device. Another device connected to the networ k i s already
operating the camcorder. To u s e thi s device, fir s t end the connection on the device acce ss ing the camcorder and then
touch Retry.
Cannot log in to FTP s erver.
- Chec k the u s er name and pa ss word information in the FTP s erver s etting s (

Cannot tran s fer file s to FTP s erver.
- Chec k that there i s enough available s pace in the data s torage device (hard di sk , etc.) that contain s the de s tination
folder on the FTP s erver.
FTP tran s fer error. File tran s fer wa s not completed.
- An error occurred while tran s ferring file s to the FTP s erver. Turn then camcorder and the FTP s erver off and then on
again and try again the FTP tran s fer.
IP addre ss conflict
- Another device on the s ame networ k ha s the s ame IP addre ss a ss igned to the camcorder. Change the IP addre ss of
the conflicting device or the camcorder.
L A N cable not connected.
- You attempted to connect to a wired networ k but the Ethernet cable i s not connected. Chec k that the Ethernet cable i s
correctly connected to the camcorder’ s (Ethernet) terminal and to the LAN/Ethernet port on the networ k device.
Multiple acce ss point s detected. Try the operation again.
- There are multiple acce ss point s s ending out a WP S s ignal at the s ame time. Try the operation again later or perform
s etup u s ing the [WP S : PIN Code] or [ S earch for Acce ss Point s ] option (

Network function s malfunction.
- There’ s a hardware problem with the camcorder’ s networ k related circuitry. Try turning the camcorder off and then on
again. If the problem per s i s t s , con s ult a Canon S ervice Center.
No acce ss point s found
- The camcorder s earched for active Wi-Fi networ ks (acce ss point s ) in the area but none were found. Ma k e s ure the
acce ss point i s wor k ing correctly and try connecting again.
- The acce ss point i s operating in s tealth mode. Deactivate the s tealth function in the wirele ss router (acce ss point)
s etting s .
- The camcorder may not be able to find the acce ss point if MAC addre ss filtering i s activated. Chec k the [Networ k 3/6]
