F3DM Owner’s Manual

(i) SRS Indicator
This indicator will come on when the 
“IG-ON” mode is enabled. After about 
5 seconds, the indicator will go off.  
This means the system of the airbag is 
operating properly.
This indicator system is intended to 
monitor airbag ECU, crash sensor, air 
charging device, warning indicator, 
interconnecting wiring and power 
sources..
If either of the following conditions 
occurs ,this indicates a malfunction 
somewhere in the parts monitored by 
the indicator system.  Please contact 
BYD authorized dealer as soon as 
possible to service the vehicle: 
●  The  indicator  does  not  come  on 
when the “IG-ON” mode is enabled or 
remains on. 
● The indicator comes on while driving. 

(j) High Coolant Temperature Indicator 
The indicator operates to warn that 
engine and electric motor are almost 
overheating. Park the car immediately 
to cool down the engine or electric 
motor. 
The engine or electric motor may get 
overheated in the following cases: 
Driving up a long hill on a hot day; 
lack of or leakage of the coolant fluid.
When the car is through the stop-and-
go pattern in driving, the AC device 
is on together with the engine idle 
running for a long time.
When the car is used to tow a trailer

(k) Hybrid System Warning Indicator  
This indicator will come on when 
the  “IG-ON”  mode  is  enabled.  If 
the Dual Model system is working 
normally, the indicator will go off after 
several seconds. Later if the system 

malfunctions, this indicator comes on 
again. 
If any of the following cases occurs, 
this indicates a malfunction somewhere 
in the parts monitored by the indicator 
system and please contact BYD 
authorized dealer as soon as possible. 
The indicator does not come on 
when the “IG-ON” mode is enabled or 
remains on. 
The indicator comes on while driving.

NOTICE

Do not drive the vehicle with the 
indicator on—even for one block. It 
may ruin the power system.
