Appendix B – Known
Anomalies
Anomaly
Possible Effect on Patient
or Implant Procedure
Lumax Application (Programmer Software)
Farfield Blanking may be
reduced after a Right
Ventricular refractory sense
(RVrs) as compared to the
programmed (80ms) value. A
potential side effect would be
an inappropriate Mode Switch
Onset. Since the onset
criterion also requires several
short AA intervals the
occurrence rate of this
anomaly is very low. ID# 38911
Limited potential effect on
patient, possibility to activate
an inappropriate mode switch
is low. If such a mode switch
was activated, the device
would quickly terminate the
mode switch and return to
programmed behavior.
Unexpected RVs->LVp
sequences may appear in
statistics despite R-L tracking
not being active when events
occur. ID# 38908
No effect on patient,
additional diagnostic data is
accurate, but sensing feature
that produces diagnostic is
set to off.
Automatic Threshold
Measurement (ATM) in left
ventricle may exceed
tolerance. ID# 36893
No effect on patient, ATM
feature cannot change pacing
voltage.
ATP Therapy termination
message may be truncated in
Holter IEGM display.
ID# 34509
No effect on patient,
diagnostic information on
Holter is correct on printout
and electronic version of
diagnostics.
Incorrect RV marker
annotation may occur if interval
to be classified is less than
2ms from programmed VT/VF
zone. ID# 30801
Limited effect on patient, right
ventricular pace/sense
information can only be
incorrect when close to
VT/VF zone.
