the AP/Gateway will automatically
select the highest available rate to
transmit. In some cases, however,
like where there is no great demand for speed, you can
have a relatively-low transmit rate for compromise of a
long distance.
Channel Mode:
Two levels are available: 20MHz and 20/40MHz. The latter one can enhance the
data rate more effectively, but takes more bandwidth, thus cause potential interference.
Extension Channel Protection:
This is to avoid conflict with other wireless network and boost the
ability of your device to catch all 802.11g transmissions. However, it may decrease wireless
network performance. Compared to CTS-Self; the transmission amount of CTS-RTS is much lower.
