6.3.4 Supported media
The Standalone Visualizer supports the following media.
Pictures: JPEG (JPG) and PNG
Videos: MPEG-4 (MP4) and Ogg
6.4 X-Agora Media Encoder
X-Agora Media Encoder is a tool meant for encoding videos—either from image se-
quences or from existing videos—to eventually re-encode them.
It is highly recommended that you use movie files that have been encoded by X-Agora
Media Encoder.
• X-Agora Media Encoder ensures that your files follow a decoding
pipeline that has been thoroughly tested and optimized by the X-Agora
development and testing teams.
• X-Agora Media Encoder encoding presets give you control over the size
and level of encoding of you media files. See Encoding presets (p.130) .
• X-Agora Media Encoder encoded files have embedded cache information,
which speeds up the analysis of local media files.
