Connections
Make the following connections to the rear panel of the Barco Media Server. Installations
may vary, having different requirements. The following connections are meant as ex-
amples.
2.4.1
Main connections
1.
Connect a monitor to the DVI port labeled “Desktop.”
(DVI cable not included.)
2.
Connect keyboard and mouse to USB 2.0 ports.
3.
Optional
—Connect the Ethernet cable from a router to one of the Ether-
net ports.
Note
If the server is to be connected to another server running
X-Agora Agents, connect the servers using Ethernet Port #1,
and connect the router using Ethernet Port #2.
The Ethernet port nearest to the power supply is Port #1,
and the other is Port #2.

Output, video capture, and genlock connections
XHD-400
Connect up to four outputs through the DisplayPort ports on the video output card. If
necessary, use the active DisplayPort-to-DVI adapters provided by Barco.
XHD-402
1.
Connect up to four outputs through the DisplayPort ports on the video
output card.
If necessary, use the active DisplayPort-to-DVI adapters provided by
Barco.
2.
Connect up to two inputs through the DVI ports on the video capture
card.
