Figure 5.36. Master Player
Automatic mode
When a Player is configured to use automatic mode, its operating system monitors are
reconfigured for optimal performance. If all the Displays connected to a Player have
the same resolution and orientation, their monitors are merged in the operating system,
and the vertical sync as well as dedicated fullscreen options are enabled. This allows
X-Agora to display the projector outputs across each physical output with optimal
performance results, and is the recommended way to configure your Players. In auto-
matic mode, all the Players are launched in fullscreen mode. If some Displays share the
same resolution and orientation while others do not, some of them are merged, while
others stay independent, and you will not have an optimal configuration.
In automatic mode, if the Displays of a Player do not share the same resolution and
orientation, X-Agora changes the operating system resolutions of your monitors so as
to match those of your Displays. The outputs of each Player shown in this pane corres-
pond to the physical outputs of that Player.
If you need full control of the output configuration of your Players or outputs that are
not shown in fullscreen mode, consider using the advanced mode. See
Advanced mode
(p.102)
.
If a Player uses the automatic mode, and its detected current configuration doesn't
match the definition in X-Agora Designer, a warning icon appears with the label shown
in
Figure 5.37, “Mismatched configuration warning”
. You can then try to reapply the
automatic settings using the
Apply Output Config
button in the properties for the
Player. See
Figure 5.38, “Apply Output Config”
.
Note
If the combined resolution of the screens you are trying to configure is bigger
than 11520 x 2160, no Eyefinity setup is created and the screens remain in-
dependent. When launched, the players are not launched in dedicated
full screen.
