Installation
Please refer to the table below to select cable size. Also consider temperature rating of the
copper wires and voltage drop to the load.

DC Terminal Types
The picture shows two kinds connection of DC terminal, the user can select the suitable
connection method according to the actual requirement.
1. 90°up or down, no bending radius, saving space in depth, which is ideal for ATE system
integration.
2. Horizontal lead, large bending radius, saving space in height, which is ideal for desktop
workstations.
This series power supply can have from one to three internal 6kW power blocks, each of which
is connected across a separate phase of the 3-phase AC mains. The following figures illustrate
how to install three 6kW units or three 12kW units in order to obtain a balanced current draw
on the 3-phase AC mains.

8.6 Connection to DC Loads
!
Warning!
Always disconnect the Mains before accessing AC input or DC output compartment
or connections.
Consider the following issues when connecting the load.
1. Make sure the wire connected to the load is able to carry the maximum applied current.
2. Assure that the withstanding voltage rating of the insulation of the wires is greater than maximum
output voltage of DC power supply or series connection voltage of the power supplies.
3. In case of a device with high nominal current and hence a thick and heavy DC connection
cable it is necessary to take account of the account of the weight of the cable and the strain
imposed on the DC connection. Especially when mounted in a 19'' cabinet or similar, where
the cable hangs on the DC output, a strain reliever should be used.
4. Load noise and impedance effect.
