8.4 Shelf Mounting Diagram of The Unit
This series power supply can be mounted in a standard 19-inch rack panel or cabinet. If using
rack-mount slides, the user can select the optional rack-mount slide kit at the same time, to
install the unit in a standard 19-inch equipment rack. Refer to the following figure for assembly
instructions.
Part B will be installed in the cabinet. After assembly of Part B, put the unit inside and slide to
the end of the cabinet.
8.3 Installation of An Optional Interface Card
This series power supply provides optional interface cards. The interface slot is located on the
rear panel, making it easy for the user to plug a new interface or replace an existing one.
Installation steps:
1. Use a screw driver to remove the slot cover.
2. Insert the interface card into the slot and ensure the correct alignment.
When inserting please take care that it is held as close as possible to a 90°angle to the rear
panel of the unit. Make sure that the interface card is properly connected to the junction inside
of the unit.
3. Tighten the screws. After installation, the interface card is ready for use. The unit can be
controlled through the new interface.

Common ESD protection procedures apply when inserting or exchanging an interface card.
The unit must be switched off before insertion or removal of an interface card.
Never insert any other hardware other than a specified interface card.
It is strongly recommended that the slot cover must be mounted in order to avoid internal
dirtying of the device and possible shock hazard.
For system configuration cabinet application, the wheels for 6U units can be removed.
Note
There are two parts in this optional rack-mount slide kit.
Part A is used to hold the unit at each side. To prevent internal damage, use the screws provided
together.
