Removal 

 

1. Open the faceplate. 
2. Loosen the screw

the upper thread tension assembly

Installation

 

 

1. Install the new upper thread tension 
assembly

 and tighten it with the screw

. 

2. Adjust the tension of the thread take-up 
spring

3. Tighten the screw
