E-STOP/REMOTE I/L Connector (D-Sub 26-Pin, Male)
This connector allows the user to integrate an external Emergency Stop button to the marker. The
signal should be a dry-contact type and must be closed to operate the marker.
This dry contact connection is used to control the laser’s remote interlock. If the remote interlock is
activated the safety shutter is immediately closed and the LD is turned off if a marking operation is in
progress.
Please refer to 11.4 "Emergency Stop (E-STOP)/ Remote Interlock (REMOTE I/L)" (p. 112) for
details.

MAINTENANCE Connector
Reserved for factory diagnostic use. Attach the supplied connector cover.

USB Connector
For communications with a computer.
Used to send data to/receive data from a computer.

AXIS I/O Connector (D-Sub 50-Pin, Male) (Option)
Extended connector for I/O signals for an external device control from unit.
Used, for example, to control an external device from the unit.

RS-232C Connector
This connector is used to control a RS232 pendant. It also allows the user to communicate via a
simplified 3-wire RS232 implementation using pins 2, 3, and 5 for Received Data, Transmitted Data,
and Ground respectively.

POD Connector
Not used with this system. Insert the supplied connector.
