times the control panel tries to connect with it, the dialler will stop calling and considers the call as failed. It
will
not
try the other telephone numbers programmed. We recommend programming the number of dial
attempts to 9, the maximum. If there is an alarm in a zone belonging to both section A and section C, the
dialler will call the first telephone number first, and then, after the receiving party accepted the message, or
when the number of dial attempts has passed, call the third programmed telephone number to report the
burglary in section C. The account number programmed at telephone number 1 will be send when an event
in section A is reported and the account number of telephone number 3 will be send when a report in section
C is reported. In this way all reports are dived per section. We recommend not programming any telephone
numbers at sections that are not used.
Testmessage
At
Testmessage type
you can program what kind of testmessage is send. You can choose to select none, a
24-hour testmessage and an intact message. When you choose to send a
24-hour testmessage
, you can
program at what time the testmessage is send. When you choose to send an
intact message
, you can
program after how many hours the first intact message is send, and after how many hours the next intact
message is send. Choosing for the intact message can be useful if the user wishes to reduce the telephone
costs. The hours of the
first intact message
and
next intact message
can be programmed freely (001-999).
Ring-in for up/downloading
It is possible to contact the AlphaVision NG control panel over the telephone line from the installation
company’s service desk to edit the control panel’s programming from a remote site. To do this, the Ring-in
function is implemented in the control panel. At
Ring in detected after … ring signals
you can program the
number of times the telephone rings before the AlphaVision NG control panel picks up the line. The default
value is 9, so remote programming can be done as soon the control panel is hooked on to the telephone line.
It is possible to send a pre-programmed file to the control panel with the AlphaManager software.
Programming files in the AlphaManager software are divided in “Historical overview”, “Code overview”
and “Programming”. It is only possible to download an historical overview from the control panel, you
cannot upload a historical overview.
For more information on the up/download possibilities, please see the AlphaManager manual.
When up/downloading is taking place, the text “Maintenance” will appear on the keypad displays.
After an up/download session, a report of this will be send to the monitoring station.
When up/downloading is done via ISDN, the ring-in settings must be configured in the AlphaCom.
