Introduction
Programming the AlphaVision NG control panel is done with a PC or laptop with the programming software
WINTERM v. 2.0 or higher or TERMPRIV v. 5.50 or higher. The PC or laptop is connected to the
AlphaVision NG control panel with an RS-232 programming cable (product number 003834). Programming
and service options are divided into a few options within the WINTERM program.
When option 1 “Program control panel and I/O modules” is selected, you will see all programming options
are divided into 9 screens. Some of the service functions and programming settings can also edited from an
LCD keypad, using function 28#. For more information on programming via the LCD keypad, see page 77.
For installation of the WINTERM software, see chapter “Installing the WINTERM software”.
For computers using DOS, the software program TERMPRIV is available. This program can be downloaded
from the Alphatronics website, www.alphatronics.nl. Installing and functioning of the TERMPRIV software
is not discussed in this manual, but is nearly identical to the WINTERM software.
Initiate local programming/ program default values
Connect the RS-232 cable (003834) to the control panel and the PC. Start up the Winterm program on the
computer and then power up the AlphaVision NG control panel. Within a few seconds you should see texts
appearing on your screen. During the start up procedure of the AlphaVision control panel all modules, such
as keypads, expansion modules, AlphaCom dialler, DLM-100 dialler, printer module, etc., are checked for
attendance. During this start up you will see the following screen:

When, during this startup procedure, a different configuration is found in comparison with the previous time,
the AlphaVision NG will ask the following question:
Configuration is changed. Displayed configuration is correct? :
Enter "Y" to accept the displayed configuration. Take care: only accept the displayed configuration if this is
the correct configuration. If a module has been removed and the configuration is not accepted, then after
finishing this startup procedure automatically a tamper alarm of the removed module will be generated. Only
restarting the control panel and accepting the changed configuration can prevent this!
After the start up procedure the control panel prompts for the installer code. The following will appear on
your screen:
Enter the installercode (4-6 digits)
followed by <ENTER> :
