2. GeniSys™
Sequencer
GeniSys™ instruments contain the added versatility of a built-in console sequencer. Similar
to the operation of an external MIDI sequencer, the GeniSys™ Sequencer will record and
playback an organist’s performance in exacting detail. Every key, pedal, piston, stop and
expression movement is recorded and played back as it was originally recorded by the
organist. Performances can then be saved and loaded for playback at a later time using a
USB flash device.
Important!
A USB flash device must be connected to the instrument’s USB memory port in
order to access the Sequencer function within the GeniSys™ Controller. In addition, the
Sequencer requires a specific directory structure to operate correctly. The USB flash device
included with a GeniSys™ instrument already contains the required directory structure as
well as a library of pre-recorded MIDI performances.
The GeniSys™ Sequencer is limited to a single-pass recording. Performance data is saved as
a Type 1 MIDI file (multiple MIDI tracks) in standard MIDI file format. The MIDI file may
be edited when the USB flash device is inserted into a standard PC computer and more
advanced MIDI sequence editing software is used. The GeniSys™ Sequencer will playback
both Type 0 and Type 1 MIDI files in standard MIDI file format.
Sequencer “Playlists” may also be created when using an external PC computer and the
included librarian software which is located on the USB flash device included with the
instrument.
To access the GeniSys™ Sequencer, advance to the Sequencer window function
(see section
