11. Hymn Player
GeniSys™ instruments contain an internal Hymn Player which plays a selected set of
pre-recorded hymns within memory.
Note:
Additional hymns cannot be added to the existing list of available hymn
selections.
To access the Hymn Player function, advance to the Hymn Player function window
(see
Section A-2)
.
Line 1 of the display indicates the hymn song title and line 2 contains several playback
parameters which the organist can adjust. To select a hymn, press the
CURSOR
button
to position the cursor on the hymn song title. Then, turn the
ROTARY DIAL
to select a
different hymn selection
(Hymns are arranged in alphabetical order)
.
Playback Parameters:
To change the value of any of the playback parameters, press the
CURSOR
button to
position the cursor on any of the playback parameter values and adjust accordingly.
T
empo: Increase or decrease tempo by positioning the cursor on the Tempo value and
then turn the Rotary Dial. Tempo may be adjusted up or down in increments of 10.
Maximum tempo value is plus/minus 50.
V
erses: Change the number of verses by positioning the cursor on the Verse value and
then turn the Rotary Dial. Maximum number of verses is 9.
I
ntroduction: Position the cursor on the Introduction value and then turn the Rotary
Dial to select (
+
) for yes, or (
―
) for no introduction.
P
itch: Raise or lower the pitch by positioning the cursor on the Pitch value and then
turn the Rotary Dial. Pitch may be raised or lowered in half-step increments. Standard
Transposer range is applicable; pitch can be raised a maximum of five half-steps or
lowered a minimum of seven half-steps.
To begin hymn playback, press the
MEMORY
button. The display will indicate the
current verse number playing.
Both the Tempo and number of Verses may be adjusted while the hymn is playing. Press
the
CURSOR
button to position the cursor on either the Tempo or Verse value. Then,
turn the Rotary Dial to change the value.
To stop hymn playback at any time, press the
CANCEL
piston.
To return to the
Main Window
function, press and hold
the
SET
piston. Then, while holding
SET
, press the
CANCEL
piston. Release both.
Note
: You can change the organ’s registration at any time during playback, either
manually or by using pistons. However, the registration will return to the hymn player
default at the beginning of each verse.
