The Safety Stop screen (Fig. 47) will be displayed until the count-
down times out, or the a descent is made below 30 feet (10 meters),
or the diver surfaces. There is no Penalty if the diver surfaces prior
to completing the Safety Stop.
Information includes Current Depth, Stop Depth (15 feet or 4.5
meters), Stop Bar icon, Countdown Timer, Dive Time Remaining,
and applicable bar graphs.
DECOMPRESSION DIVE MODE
The ATMOS 2 is designed to help you by providing a representa-
tion of how close you are to entering Decompression. Decompres-
sion Dive Mode activates when theoretical No Decompression
time/depth limits are exceeded.
Entry into Decompression Dive Mode
(Fig. 48)
Upon entering Decompression Mode, the Audible Alarm will
sound and the red LED Warning Indicator will flash for 30 sec-
onds (unless set OFF), or until acknowledged.
At that time, you should begin a safe controlled ascent to a depth
slightly deeper than, or equal to, the Required Ceiling Stop Depth
indicated (Fig. 48a) and decompress for the Stop Time indicated
(Fig. 48b). Total Ascent Time (Fig. 48c) appears below Depth
(Fig. 48d).
