6. Cleaning and Disinfection
Accessories and materials: Cleaning and disinfection
The following accessories and materials are recommended to use for cleaning and disinfection.
Examination gloves
Cleaning/disinfectant wipes containing Isopropanol (17.2%)
and Ammonium Chloride
E.g. CaviWipes.
6.1 TRIOS MOVE+ Scanner Holder for TRIOS 5:
Cleaning and Disinfection
Clean and disinfect the TRIOS MOVE+ scanner holder for TRIOS 5 after each patient treatment.
It is recommended to disassemble the scanner holder to clean and disinfect it thoroughly.
Follow the instructions below (step 1-6).
1.
Disassemble the scanner holder
Unplug the cart from electricity
to ensure electrical safety.
Put on gloves.
Take a CaviWipe.
Wearing gloves, remove the insert
from the holder.
2.
Clean the insert
Wipe the inner and outer surface
of the insert until visibly clean.
Dispose of the CaviWipe.
3.
Clean the holder
Take a CaviWipe.
Wipe the outer surface of the holder
until visibly clean.
Dispose of the CaviWipe.
4.
Disinfect the insert
Take a CaviWipe.
180 s
Wet the inner and outer surface
of the insert by continuously
wipeing the insert for a minimum
of
180 seconds
.
The insert needs to stay wet for
180 seconds in order to disinfect it.
Dispose of the CaviWipe.
5.
Disinfect the holder
Take a CaviWipe.
180 s
Wet the outer surface of the holder
by continuously wipeing the holder
for a minimum of
180 seconds
.
The holder needs to stay wet for
180 seconds in order to disinfect it.
