Important Alarm Symbols and Indicators
The Model 675 unit’s visual and audible alarms are classified as
Low Priority
per
IEC 80601-2-35.
During a fault condition, the warming unit LCD screen will display a fault condition
indicator, the audible alarm will sound and the warming unit will be inoperable (blower
and heater will turn off). The figure below wrench on the LCD screen which indicates
“Stop use: Service required” condition.

Actions to take when a warming unit encounters alarm:

Stop use:
Service required.
•
Audible alarm will sound:
To silence the alarm press the
Power
button.
•
Do not re-start.
Refer to the
“Fault Conditions”
section for additional information on faults.
Filter time has been reached:
The “Change Filter” indicator will display on the LCD screen when the filter time has
been reached.

Actions to take when filter indicator is illuminated:
• Continue current use.
• After current use: Filter should be changed by service personnel.
• Filter change indicator will stay illuminated, even when the warming unit is in
standby mode.
CAUTION:
Do not attempt to clean the air filter as it may be
contaminated from use. Discard the filter in a manner consistent with
institutional protocol.

Unit Power-On-Reset
The Model 675 Warming Unit automatically performs the following sequence after
the warming unit powers on or resets when connected to a properly grounded
power source:
• Performs all self-test functions.
• Illuminates indicator lights and the LCD screen displays the Start-up screen
(Bair Hugger logo).
• The
Power
button indicator illuminates amber and then green.
• Sounds the alarm (1 beep).
• System timer activates.
• The
Power
button indicator illuminates amber and the unit enters the
Sleep
mode.
Operation Mode
The warming unit delivers temperature conditioned air during
Operation
mode. There
are four temperature setting options within
Operation
mode:
Ambient, 32°C, 38°C
and
43°C
.
To select the
Ambient, 32°C, 38°C,
or
43°C
temperature, press the button labeled with
the desired temperature setting. The temperature management unit will operate within
the specified temperature range, shown in the table below.

After you select an Operation mode temperature setting, the following events occur:
• Corresponding temperature setting indicator light illuminates.
• Blower operates.
• Heater activates except in
Ambient
mode.
• Operation timer, blower timer, and filter timer activate.
• System timer remains active.
• The LCD displays the temperature at the hose connection to the blanket.
To exit Operation mode, press the
Power
button. The warming will enter
Sleep
mode.
