5. Click Configure… (fig. 3.2). A screen appears from which you
can set up the configuration for your controller.
6. Select the installable options using the convenient drop-down
menus as follows:
a. Under Installed Memory, select the amount of RAM
installed on your controller (standard RAM is 32 MB).
b. Under Printer1 Installed: select True if you plan to attach
a printer to the printer port 1 during setup. If not, select
False. Repeat this for each of the printer port settings.
c. We suggest you leave the rest of the option settings
False (the default mode) until you finish the initial setup.
For details on these options, see “Using the Controller’s
PPD” and “Using the Spooler” in chapter 6.
d. Click OK to confirm the configuration changes. You
return to the dialog box in figure 3.2.
7. Click Printer Info and when the next screen appears, click
Update Info.
8. Click OK twice to return to the Chooser window where an icon
appears next to the controller you selected (fig. 3.1).
9. Close the Chooser window.
Note: Whenever you add a printer from the network, go through
either the Auto Setup or manual setup procedure. Then all
network printers will be recognized when you are ready to
print.
