3. Create the following file substituting your TCP/IP address for
192.9.200.201
(the default address), your broadcast
address for
192.9.200.255
(the default), and your network
mask for
255.255.255.0
(the default) in the first line. Your
system administrator can provide the correct address for you.

Note: The last two lines of this file restart the printer. If you
omit these lines, you need to add a ^D (Ctrl D) line at
the end of the file; then, after the file is sent down to
the controller, you need to restart the controller. If you
do not restart the controller, it will not recognize the
address change. This ^D is an end-of-file ASCII code
decimal 04, not a shift D.
4. Save the file and exit the DOS editor.
5. Send the file to the controller by substituting your filename for
<filename>
in the following commands and typing either
COPY <filename> LPT1
↵
to download the file to the printer over the parallel interface, or
by typing
COPY <filename> COM1
↵
to download the file to the printer over the serial interface.
After the file downloads, the following message appears.
