The Units Menu
The Units menu, MISC:UNITS, allows you to select English or
metric measurements for certain options such as size or matte in the
printer menus. The factory default is ENGLISH.
The Initial Job Menu
The Initial Job menu, MISC:INITIAL JOB, allows you to have the
controller execute a Sys/Start file, if one exists, on the hard disk
when the controller is turned on. Options are YES to enable this
feature and NO to disable this feature. The factory default is YES.
The Timeout Menu
The Timeout menu, MISC:TIMEOUT, allows you to select the
number of seconds the controller waits for additional incoming data
before cancelling a job and returning to the idle state. This prevents
the controller from being tied up indefinitely on one job. Options are
20, 40, 60, 300, and never. The factory default is 40 seconds.
Note: If you send large files, such as graphic intensive images or
CAD (Computer Aided Design) files, you should select 300
or NEVER. Remember that if you select NEVER, the
controller does not time out and could remain tied up on the
current job until you cancel it.
The Language Menu
The Language menu, MISC:LANG, allows you to select the
following languages for the display window: English, German
(Deutsch), French (Francais), or Japanese. The factory default is
ENGLISH.
