3. The Transfers menu, which is now active, allows you to
manage transfer curves on your controller and computer hard
disk.
The Transfers menu on a Macintosh is accessed from the main
Command Center menu line. On a PC, the Transfers menu is at the
top of the Transfer Curves window. The File, Controller, and Print
submenus allow you to send and retrieve transfer curves from the
controller and to save copies of the transfer curves to your hard disk.
File allows you to open and save transfer curve files on your hard
disk.
• Use the open command to display a transfer curve file and make
it available to send to the controller.
• Use the Save or Save As command to save a transfer curve file
to your computer.
Note: The Save and Save As commands are particularly useful if
you print to multiple engines or if the controller is being
accessed by multiple users. Once you have generated a curve
that works for your specific needs, you may want to save
that curve for future use. To do this, retrieve the curve from
your controller, using the Controller menu; then save the file
to your computer’s hard disk.
Controller allows you to communicate with the Accel-a-Graphix
CT4.
• Use Send Default Transfer Curves to send the current open file
(displayed in the Transfer Curves window) to the controller as
the transfer curve for Spot or a printer, as selected in the Curve
to Use (for the Macintosh) or Printer (for the PC) section of the
Transfer Curves window.
• Use Retrieve Default Transfer Curves to retrieve and display the
transfer curve currently being used by the controller for Spot or a
printer, as selected in the Curve to Use (for the Macintosh) or
Printer (for the PC) section of the Transfer Curves window.
