The Clear Trap Menu
The Clear Trap menu, JOB:CLR TRP, allows you to reset the
controller if it is waiting for additional data to create a color trap
proof . You select this menu by pressing the Enter
↓
key. When
Confirm appears in the display window, press the Enter
↓
key again
to confirm your choice.
The Trapping menu in the PPD allows you to perform in-house color
trap proofing by printing a reconstructed color separation. When this
option is selected, the controller will not process the data for an
image until it has received all files from a color separation. If a color
separation was not created through an application, the controller
receives an individual image file, rather than the set of files required
to reconstruct the color separation. The controller cannot process the
individual file because it is waiting for additional data from the color
separation. The Clear Trap menu allows you to reset the controller
from the trapping mode.
The Printer Menus
The Printer menus—JOB:PRINTER1, JOB:PRINTER2,
JOB:PRINTER3, and JOB:PRINTER4—allow you to perform
various job related functions. Printer menus only appear for printers
attached to the controller.
Since each Printer menu contains the same four submenus, printer 1
is used for examples. The submenus are
• HOLD
• RESUME
• RESTART
• CANCEL
