F_CRC_Seed

The

F_CRC_Seed

parameter defines the

calculation type of the CRC2. The value of the
parameter must exactly match the value of the

F_Passivation

parameter. If the F I/O module is

to be operated in PROFIsafe Mode V2.4, both
parameters must be set to “0”. If PROFIsafe
Mode V2.6 is to be used, both parameters must
be set to “1”.

F_Passivation

The

F_Passivation

parameter sets the

passivation mode of the F I/O module. If
PROFIsafe Mode V2.4 is to be used, this
parameter and the

F_CRC_Seed

parameter must

be set to “0”. For the type of passivation, the

PROFIsafe V2.4 Passivation Mode

parameter is

used (see Section “Functions” > … > “Module- or
Channel-Granular Passivation in PROFIsafe
Mode V2.4”).
If PROFIsafe Mode V2.6 is to be used, this
parameter and the

F_CRC_Seed

parameter must

be set to “1”. In this case, the F I/O module uses
channel-granular passivation per RIOforFA.

Valid combinations are:

PROFIsafe Mode V2.
