Wire Break Detection
The lines to the analog inputs can be monitored for wire breaks. The requirement
for this is that the parameter “
Wire break detection
” is set to the value
“Enabled”. A wire break is detected within the error response time.
If you have set the “
Wire break detection
” parameter to “Disabled”, then wires
are not monitored for breaks by the F I/O module.
If a wire break is detected for an analog input, the F I/O module or the affected
input is passivated and the “Wire break” diagnostic message is output.
Wire break detection depends on the setting of the following parameters:
