Device Description
The safe F I/O modules are intended for safety functions in the area of industrial
automation technology, building technology and process technology to protect
man and machine according to Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
The PROFIBUS DP and PROFINET IO fieldbus can be used to connect to the
safe PLC. The F I/O modules can be seamlessly integrated into the existing
WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750.
Expensive and inflexible cabling are replaced by flexible configurable safety
functions by safe PROFIsafe data transmission via the existing fieldbus system. It
is then possible to optimize the F I/O module to different safety applications.
The F I/O modules of the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 can be used to implement
safety applications in accordance with the following standards:
•
IEC 61508, up to SIL3
•
EN ISO 13849-1, up to Cat.4/PL e
•
IEC 62061, up to SIL3
•
IEC 61511-1, up to SIL3
Sensors with analog output signal (0 mA
… 20 mA and 4 mA … 20 mA) can be
connected to the inputs of the F I/O module 753-668/000-004 per IEC 60381-1
(see Section “Connecting Devices” > … > “Connection Examples”):
•
Pressure sensors
•
Force sensors
•
Fill level sensors
•
Proximity sensors, etc.
The F I/O module 753-668/000-004 has the following properties:
•
Four safety-oriented inputs AI1
… AI4
•
Four outputs for sensor supply
•
Diagnostics via LED display elements and fieldbus service
•
iPar server support for saving and restoring iParameters
•
Module-wide and channel granular passivation of the analog inputs in case
of error (parameterizable)
•
Multiple formats for analog value data formats (RIOforPA, Siemens S7 with
fixed substitute values, Siemens S7 with parameterizable substitute values)
•
Sampling frequency with which the input signals are converted into process
values (parameterizable)
•
One- and two-channel evaluation of the input signals (parameterizable)
•
Discrepancy time monitoring for two-channel evaluation of the analog
inputs (parameterizable)
•
Wire break monitoring for each channel, dependent on selected analog
value data format (parameterizable)
•
Smoothing and Interference frequency suppression for the input signals
(parameterizable)
