Manual
Version 1.0.0, valid from HW/SW Version 01/01
Depending on the configured PROFIsafe mode and the selected passivation
mode, there are three variants for module-external acknowledgment.
Table 26: Module-External Acknowledgement

Mode
Description
V2.4
Module
granularity
The F I/O module signals the acknowledgment
request by setting and resetting the device fault bit
in th
e PROFIsafe status byte. The “OA_Req” bit in
the PROFIsafe control byte is used by the safe PLC
for acknowledgement.
1)
Channel
granularity
The F I/O module signals the acknowledgement
request via the
WAGO status byte
in the process
image; the respective application on the safe PLC
must evaluate the
WAGO status byte
accordingly.
1)
V2.6
Channel
granularity
The F I/O module signals the acknowledgement
request via the
PROFIsafe status byte
in the
process image; the respective application on the
safe PLC must evaluate the
PROFIsafe status
byte
accordingly. Acknowledgement occurs in
accordance with the RIOforFA specification.
2)
1)
See Section “Diagnostics” > … > “Module-External Error Acknowledgement in
PROFIsafe Mode V2.4”.
2)
See Section “Diagnostics” > … > “Module-External Error Acknowledgement in
PROFIsafe Mode V2.6”.
The F parameters are used to set the PROFIsafe mode!
The F parameters are used to set the respective PROFIsafe mode (V2.4 or
V2.6), see Section “Appendix” > … > “PROFIsafe F Parameters”.
The settings are made via the “
Acknowledgement Mode
” parameter, which is
described in Section “Commissioning” > … > “Setting Parameters”.
The following parameters must also be set in PROFIsafe mode V2.4:
