Adjust the unit injector setting by loosening the
adjuster screw until play is attained on the injec-
tor.
Adjust the screw until the play disappears (by feel
until the roller can no longer be rotated).
Tighten the adjuster screw a further 240° (4 sides
of the hexagon). Tighten the lock nut.

6

Check the valve play for the exhaust valves with
the aid of a feeler gauge.
The play must be

0.8 mm

(0.0315”).
