Remove the piston cooling nozzles with the aid of
885822 Magnetic pen.

3 

Check that the connecting rods are marked; mark
the position if more than one is removed from the
engine.

4 

Undo the connecting rod bolts a couple of turns.
Tap the bolt heads so that the bearing cap is freed
from the connecting rod.
