14 Check that the camshaft gear marking corre-

sponds to the timing gear plate hole.

15 Remove the lower intermediate gear.

Remove the double gear (Allen bolts at center).

16 Remove the intermediate gear.

NOTICE!

Before the timing gear plate is

removed, two pcs. 9998267 Guide sleeve must
be installed on the engine block (tighten to 60 Nm
(44 lbf.ft)). This is to ensure that the plate is
replaced in exactly the same position.

It is now possible to remove the timing gear plate.
Remove all bolts. Using a pry bar, carefully prise
the plate free (held in place by sealant), but do
not prise such that the guide sleeves are budged
or damaged
